Unfortunately any rebate due ME will be applied to back taxes. They are hoping to boost the economy with all the new HD TV's bought, smart ones will put it into metal or towards debt IMHO. HH Mark
Unfortunately sheeple will put check in bank, use credit card for the TV and just make the minimum payment and get into more debt- free money is easily spent and wasted.

I'm hearing a lot of people saying that we should refuse the $800 or what ever they end up "giving" us. To accept the money is like a vote for more of the same economic mess that got us into this situation in the first place. But just like people won't vote for a person who wants to reform "funny money" economics because they feel somehow they come out ahead with it, people also won't refuse to take a drink out of the public troth.

I look at it as getting back a little of my money that was forced away from me. But I hate the thought that those in power will use giving my money back to me as a endorsement for them to dig us even deeper into an economic hole as we roll over for them for the taste of a little treat.
