Went to the local shopping mall today to spend one of those Visa spend anywhere gift cards. As I'm walking around I notice that there is some sort of inside sidewalk sale. Mostly sports cards/memorabilia, that type of stuff. I notice there is ONE coin dealer....Right away my girlfriend knows what is up. She leaves me there....bad mistake....As I get the elderly gentleman's life history, I'm scoping out his goods. 90% dimes and halves were 10X face. Not bad. Then over to the 10oz. silver bars....$149 each....spot is $16.41....he HAD 20 at that price.... Needless to say, I walked away with less cash and very heavy pockets. Not bad prices for around here.

Forgot, bought 8 60's, 5 70's, and 1 80 CA $0.05 for face. He also gave me three free foreign coins. I'll post about them in Cerulean's What is it thread.

| That dealer was out of the loop for sure. Most of those mall sales guys can smell an up PM market two weeks in advance and price like it's 25% higher than it really is. Great deal for you though! |

He was up to date on the current prices. He said it wasn't a job, just a hobby. He pays X amount of dollars for something, then decides how much he wants. If the prices go higher than he is asking, he doesn't raise his prices. He had a lot of nice stuff all in all. Mostly silver though. No good deals on gold....

Found out he will back in April sometime. I know I will be visiting him again, with more cash....Stupid ATM limits....
