Cut a slot on one side of a 3/4" pvc pipe. The rolls fit inside perfectly. Score with a utility knife thru the slot and you have a safe, quick way to liberate the pennies. I use a pipe long enough to hold 2 rolls and mounted a piece of wood on the end to hold it easily. There are also a couple commercial items avaiable. For Brinks plastic I just use a box cutter with a DULL blade to score the rolls down lengthwise. It doesn't hurt the pennies if you do it right and it's faster than trying to squeeze them out like toothpaste. Brinks changed the type of plastic they use a few months back so it's even easier to break apart if you don't score it enough. String paper rolls are harder to cut and require a sharper blade with more risk of self inflicted wounds, so I avoid those. I can feed the Ryedale as fast as it can eat but prefer to shuck ahead of time so I can watch what is coming out while it's running. You miss too much when you're trying to do two things at once in my opinion.
I get bags when I can from my favorite dump bank because they know to give me business deposits and not anything I've dropped off.
grab machine rolled paper rolls with left hand and tear the roll crip off the end with a large pliars, then use the handle to push the cents down and out. Don't have to shift my grip
Buckle up - it makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car.
