I'm not a expert in Canadian Proof coins and still trying to learn, i hope someone who know better will jump in, if not here what i think :
I don't know a definite way to tell if it's proof or specimens or circulating finish. Royal Canadian Mint didn't 'admit' making proof coins for a while even if they actually does.
1998-present proof coins should have a W mint mark bellow the queen, for Winnipeg Mint. Some recent coins (at least quarter) are made of silver for the proof coins and easy to tell with a magnet.
If your have a high-contrast with the queen and the field of the coins, called Ultra heavy cameo, heavy cameo, cameo depend on the strength of the contrast. Also called frosted because the logo/queen look icy and dull compared to the mirror-like background of the coins. I think that's what proof mean, anyhow keep all of them they have good value.
The specimens are supposed to be "Brilliant relief on a satin background" seem like the opposite of a cameo proof.
