Time to time in the free section of craigslist I see people giving away full size soda machines. Needless to say they are very heavy. Has anyone had any experience moving one, and if so, what did it take to move it? I have no problem moving the large two door refrigerators by myself with an appliance dolly, but I think a soda machine might be a bit much by myself. Also, if anyone has scrapped one, is there anything extra on these to look out for other than the normal copper and such for a refrigeration machine?

You might want to note that most drink machines are not owned by individuals but by the drink companies themselves. Coke or Pepsi and people are allowed to use the machines as long as they by product directly from the supplier. I would be careful getting one off craigslist because it might be stolen. Also compressors if the machine is an older one has Freon R12 in them and the newer compressors have 134A i.e. both you have to have a special machine to capture this which is required by EPA.
