Really excited, found an 1865 IH in Ontario, he is a little worn, but was still circulating. Imagine being passed around for 145 years!

Congratulations on the 1865 IH! I have found two IHs (1895 and 1900) in Canada as well out of hundreds of thousands of pennies I have searched.
I don't think these IHs circulated their entire life time, but rather spent a great deal of time in someone's penny jar, before that person (or their widow) rolled them up and cashed them in at the bank. |

Hey, you found my 1865! I was wondering where it went. Okay, you can send it back now. Haha, just kidding. We're a group of cent searchers, and that has still got to be one of the oldest coins found by any of us... congratulations! |
