I've been searching all over for a web site that simply told you about how much you can get for all the different metals, does anyone know a web site that tells that or if anyone could give me the average percent of spot that the average recycling place pays that would be great, thanks

As far as I can tell no such site exists. It would be nice if it did.

Prices derived from local conditions.

The spot prices are a general guide, unless you're selling 1000 tons to China.

Pretty much correct. No central site.

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

It depends on where you are and the local market conditions.

Your local scrap yard might be hard up for some things, or they might be overstocked on others.

It also depends on the transportation costs involved.

Many scrappers also try to buy low and hoard, just like we do.

It's a tough market. Fuel prices are a huge variable.
