Poll Question:
If you were a trader WTSHTF, or even now for that matter which of the following offers would you accept in a trade.
9 - 1 gram .999 Fine Silver Bars/Rounds 4 - U.S. 90% Silver Dimes
Which one of the above would you accept? Which option do you think most sheeple would select?
Thanks for your input. I am trying to weigh the pros and cons of storing .999 or 90%

I would prefer the dimes. 1 Gram bars and rounds would be just way too small to deal with. And to try and accumulate those now your paying way too much in premiums for them. I just could never justify paying twice spot for a 1 gram bar or round. |

if the gram bars were legit i would happily accept either gram bars or dimes.
Dimes are more widely recognized right now.
Gram bars are pretty small. They may catch on later though when silver is $45 an ounce. I too am leary of paying such a premium for gram bars. I am just fine with 90% dimes. |

Are there any of the widely known mints making gram bars. Because in a WTSHTF situation, the question "How do I know this is silver?" will enivitably come up.
I've always thought the gram bars and coins were a scam to get people who don't know their conversation rates to overpay for silver. |

One day I'll do a write up an making gram bars. There is a LOT of work that goes into them.
Mine are individually stamped, polished in sheet, cut out, individually filed/smoothed, weight checked, and individualy polished again.
I like "fine" because I can make it into differant things. I can melt gram .999 and make bigger bars, sheet, wire, jewelry, etc etc, that I just couldn't do with 90% as it is not even sterling.
BUT if TSHTF, I wouldn't be "too" picky, it is still silver after all! |
