Found this while sorting today. Never come across a penny like this before. The obverse has a large crack in it starting at the rim and going thru the right shoulder.
The reverse has 2 cracks.First being between the U and N in United and the second being thru the T in Cent
Any info would be helpful. Neat piece!

Whoa, weird! That is cool looking....almost like an inverse die crack or something. |

Hard to tell without seeing it at different angles, but the reverse 'cracks' look like they could have been intentional 'gouges' or scratches.
The obverse 'crack' looks good/legit. But again, hard to tell from a laptop screen.
Some coin guy having a bit of fun? A 'new' specimen for the local coin club???
Does anyone else see what I mean? |

I totally get what you're saying wolvesdad. That's quite plausible. |
