A daughter of a friend recently got a job with this outfit. I remember reading a few months ago about a number of complaints being filed against them. I was wondering if anybody has any recent information about Cash for Gold's legal troubles.

Thanks.

Recent. no. One time about 1.5 years ago, I mailed something to them. It was maybe 20% (if i remember correctly) of melt. When i told them it was extremely low, they added on to it but it was still well below. I understand there needs to be a spread for refining marketing..... but man, I think they are in the business of hustling

Nickelmeister, thats a very attractive price. I wish you werent across the border!

Most Cash for Gold outfits- local and distant pay less than a good well respected refinery. I know some members here other than Nickel might be able to offer more information on PM refining!

Rumor has it that if you send gold to 'Cash for Gold' and you reject their offer they claim that your items have been melted already forcing you to except their low offer. I hope that not how they operate.

I have heard that too. There has to be a pretty big spread between what they pay and what the metal is worth, because they certainly have a lot of profit to pay for millions of dollars worth of television advertising! There are MANY people here who would do a much better deal than these TV scams.

I've heard that Michael from Market Harmony blows ALL the "cash 4 gold" and "gold party" offers out of the water. He's an honest person, he's great at his craft, AND he's a helpful, active member here. What more could you ask for?

Thanks Ardent.

Yes, "cash for gold" is a major part of my business these days.

Market Harmony, Nickelmeister and I all play in this sandbox, and we all pay much more than the mail in guys.

I consider both of them friends and would highly recommend you dealing with either of them (or myself) if you are looking to sell any scrap PM's.

Have the friends daughter gather intel! We could use someone inside the Company.
