Anybody own one of these? I'm thinking about getting one, but I'm worried about liquidity. I can't find anyone other than APMEX who sells them, and they don't buy them back. Anyone with experience with this coin could share that would be awesome...

They are quite nice in my opinion, especially when bundled in the complete leather cased centennial set. I have several. |

Jim, Some of the Canadian dealers, especially in Ottawa or Toronto, may have some.
They're too dear for me,as the gold price has gone too high over here in New Zealand.
I picked up 2 1/10 Krugerrands in around 2000 or 2001 for NZ$80 each.You can't buy them for that now.Dealers want over NZ$160 for a 1/10 Krugerrand nowadays.

They are very common in Canada.
I sold two (in sets) yesterday. I agree with Nickelmeister, they are especially nice in sets |

Was the 1967 gold $20 struck in Unc. as well as Proof,& was it offered for sale at C$20?
If it was offered at its face value of 20 Dollars at the time of issue, then it is NOT a medal-coin,but a coin instead. If it was offered at C$20.01,then it would automatically be classed as a medal-coin.

They were sold only as a set as shown above. The set issue price was $40.
I believe that you are incorrect in your terminology BC. A medal has no "dollar" value stated, a coin does. Just like the $1 million 100kg gold maple, it is a coin, not a medal. |

I saw a couple sets on ebay last night from Toronto actually. I almost pulled the trigger, but shipping wasn't displayed and his ad said his shipping calc. wasn't working so I decided against it.
And fasttcar (or Nickelmeister), if ever you come across some more and can part with one, drop me a PM |
