What I also wonder is if the big hitters here are between the ages 36-55.

If they have a HoardCode you can probably see they fall within that broad age range.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

If a one ton hoard counts as a big hitter, I'm 39.

Yeah, I saw the same thing. Freudian slip

Gosh, I feel like the old timer here at 49. Heck, I even have an AARP card.. does that stand for American Alloy Recovery Program?

I'm 37 and I am up to four baxes of copper.

It's refreshing to see so many different ages here, especially youngsters (haha, I used old-fashioned terminology).

LOL You crack me up, CC! That was a good one!

I know you wouldn't operate a "con shop" but there sure are plenty of numismatists that do.

(btw, be sure to let us know if you find anymore wheat hoards at work.)

I just couldn't resist. Was glad these tired old eyes saw it in the first place.

Glad to see you young whippersnappers enjoying the hobby too.

57 and proud to say I DO NOT have an AARP card. (they have been sending me junk mail for 10 years now, you would think they would take a hint)

Junk mail is actually a dirty word where I work. We have to call it "Direct Marketing" cause we print and mail a ton of it. Can't complain Junk Mail pays my bills.

Hey, I'll take any discount I can get.. it leaves more money to buy pennies with. That junk mail is great... if you have a fireplace you can heat your house with it.

You are 14, and you have the brains to figure out the penny thing, nice one. You have one up on most adults.

37 here, about to turn 38 a week from today.

Here's my attempt at the hoard code:
HoardCode0.1:M37/1USWI:US1Cu5471:US1Zi7340:US5Ni2780:US10Ag8260:US25Ag9675:US50Ag14600:US100Ag17600

(I think the numbers are supposed to be dollars and cents, raw face value)

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

CoinHunter.. I think you got the first part of the hoardcode right. Looks fine up through the pennies. I think the numbers are supposed to be # of coins rather than face value though. If you have 17,600 silver dollars at over $13 melt value each that would really be a chunk of change!

Glad to see there are some young members like aboxaweek as part of our group. According to the poll there are actually 6 members under 18 here.
