Why did they decide on 25 cents for a face value? Odd to say the least.

I would have to guess they decided on 25 cent face value when they said they were to be like the regular quarters, but 3 in and 5 oz of silver. The value of 25 cents is on the quarter they are to replicate..so its on it too |

Yeah, but it still seems silly. Why not $25 ????
As it is, they seem like all the other "Replica" silver out there and make it hard for me to pay a premium for them.
There are companies already that make one ounce silver replicas of state quarters, etc. |

All the while they can't manage to make Proof Silver Eagles. This is cool, but I honestly don't think the Quarters are that iconic that they demand being made into these 5oz coins.
I would rather see new designs if they are going to make these. |

--All of that being said with the fact that these have a 25cent face value in mind. |

Eagles are required to be made by American mined silver. The silver for the quarters are allowed to have their silver outsourced. |

really, if your mocking the mint for using outsourced silver, it only makes sense to if they can't get enough American silver to make even just the eagles. If you think they should have to be made with American silver, its congress who passed the law that said the mint had to make them and of the stupid weight and size with makes the coin too thin to have the mint make it as the law describes with etching on the sides. lol |

I don`t like the ring around the outside edge of the coin. they should have just printed the lettering like on the state quarters. I guess they know more than I do? |
