Wife and I went to an antique auction last night, noticed they had a few lots of coins. Now, normally I ignore them because people seem to have no common sense as far as value goes, both numismatic and melt, but figured I'll take a shot. I scored this old school Whiteman album filled with 70 Mercury Dimes, and a '64 Roosevelt... for $35! People must have been sleeping! There was a killer Dansco filled with a 1948-1963 Franklin half set that went for $205, wish I had the money for that one, it was $40 under melt! Sadly, the 1916-D is missing, and most of the coins are pretty wore out, but hey, .54 cents each for 90%'ers ain't too bad. I think I'm going to roll $5 face and sell them, and keep 21 for myself.

| Great deal. Would never happen in my neck of the woods. All of the estate sales around here are like going to a comedy club. Just watching all those fools just bidding up to stupid prices. I've yet to see anyone get a deal. It's really a waste of time..but still humorous sometimes. |
