I picked up a part to a walk in refrigerator unit. It is stainless steel (non magnetic) and measures 30" X 60" X 104". Needless to say, very big and very heavy. I am in the process of removing the non-stainless metal. My quandry is whether I should go ahead and dump it with these depressed prices, or try to wait. What would you do (providing you have an area to store it)?

New twist, I am thinking about cutting it apart, and have two flat pieces 104 inches long and two approximately 50 inches long, for easier storage and/or hauling.

I found some SS diamond plate sheets in a family members estate awhile back,I took them with the intent to scrap but figured they would be expensive to replace and held on to them. They eventually became part of my first sorting table, diamond side down. Now I use them for storing my sorted boxes on a makeshift table.
With the price you will get for scrap now it might make sense to hold on to it.There are a thousand uses for it,I'm sure you could fetch a better price than scrap.Ask around, some welders could put it to use.Maybe craigslist it.Or it would make a great lining for a safe room.
How thick is it?

Available again! $100 of Copper Lincoln Memorials for $145 shipped.

If you have room to store it, do it. If not, sell it and bank the cash.

Prices here is .62 a pound for non-magnetic stainless. It use to be around 1.00 a pound, but that was a while back. I think I will probably cut it in 4 pieces for easier storage and just hang onto it for now. Thanks for all the input.
