I have taken the screening and rubber out of some frames, and was wondering about the screening itself. What it is made of (its non magnetic), and if it is metal what pile do most folks toss it into?

If they are stiff, they are painted aluminum.

If they flex easily on the joints, they are fiberglass. (I once worked at a factory that made window screening).

Thanks for the info fasTTcar, did not know that. These are stiff though, so I have tossed them in with the painted aluminum.
