Today, I was searching a roll of halves and heard a weird clink going through the halves. At 1st, I was excited because I thought it was silver.
However, it is a 1996 half with no back part of the coin; it is almost like someone dug it out.
Anyone find these before?
Was someone just bored and decided to deface a half?

| If someone defaced this, are you still allowed to spend it? |

| I believe that is a magician's coin, and the other heads side has fallen out. I'd keep it; makes a nice example of how 2-headed coins are made. |

I was looking online
Could it be the front half of a hollow spy half dollar?
