I picked up a few rolls of coins to go through this past Friday and some of the dimes were in new types of "rolls/wrappers" for here in Florida, at least new to me.
I think one and/or both of these types have been talked about before by some of our Canadian members as I think it is how the Canadian coins are rolled.
The first is a plastic clam shell type (contained dimes) and it has five bumps in a row that interlock from underneath sort of like Legos would interlock. However, I can't seem to figure out how to reuse it and thankfully got some paper wrappers to be able to reroll the dimes to return to bank. Imprinted on the only small flat edge of this new "wrapper" is: Made in Canada 05 PLASTICHANGE 50X10(CENT SYMBOL)-5.00
There is just one long line of dimes in the above container.
The other new one is also made of plastic and is a similar clam shell style but just has the words PAT. PENDING in the very small center flat strip that runs across the container and sort of divides the dimes into two separate sections. It doesn't have the five bumps and this one opens on the side and it seems to be able to reseal this type but not sure how many times it could be done nor if I would be comfortable resealing it to send back to bank.
Anyone else finding either of these style wrappers for dimes or other coins???
Is either of these still the common type of coin "wrapper" for those of our members who get their coins in Canada to search through?
