| It seems as if the currently written history books are a reflection of the current flavors of what is deemed politically appropriate. A hundred years ago, I'm sure the beauty and vastness of the "Sun Never Setting on the British Empire" was extolled by historians of that day. We see the same thing today as those writing the history books perceive their view of history as the correct version. In the future, interpretation of past history will be different as it will reflect the bias of that future time period. |
