This doesn't necessarily relate to penny hoarding but here's something I think would be fun to do if i was rich.
If i was rich i would go to a coin store and pick out a bunch of the cheapest 1/2 cents, 2 cent pieces, 3c pieces, old $2 bills, morgans, franklins, etc. and then go to a store, get whatever I want and figure out the exact change with tax
Then at the checkout when I have to pay I would take this all out of my pocket and throw it on the table, then say "wait a minute" and after looking over the hoard for 1-2 seconds (clearly not enough time to count it) say "woops, looks like I'm about 3 and a half cents short again" and throw the rest on the pile an walk away. I'd be a great rich person.

| I work at a liquor store and a few times I have had people do that, one guy had a few silver eagles he cashed in at cace. I am just glad the owner is cool with me buying coins out of the drawer. |
