Perhaps bailing out the states is about the only way precious metals will really gain (due to inflation). If the states default we go into the greatest depression for sure. (due to deflation). Cutting debt sounds logical, but then remember that the fiat dollar needs debt or the ecomomy goes deflationary. This ain't your grandfather's gold standard dollar depression.

And really, isn't bailing out the states the next logical step? Or would we rather that the states push back against the unfunded mandates that Washington is handing them? Either way, it's not going to be pretty. Our PMs will rise as the dollar plummets, but it's going to be a pretty bumpy ride. I'm thankful for the insight of people like Realcenters to help prepare for the mess ahead. Thanks for the food for thought, Jamie.
