Copper rallied 8 cents to over $3/lb. in tandem with the equity markets this morning, only to pull back some of the gain as the DOW rally deteriorated in the afternoon. It presently sits at $2.99. It is up 2.64% over the last 3 months on the London market.

| I don't know if I read the number right, it could be that the 3-mo futures are up 2.64%, not that it is up 2.64% over 3 months ago. Either way, Cu is holding strong despite mixed economic signals. |
