You gotta love a wife who promotes your copper and silver hording.
Today a old lady walks into the bank and asks if someone can come out to the car and help her bring in some rolled coins. My wife gets the security guard to help her and tells him to bring her back to her window. Turns out the lady has $50 in rolled pennies to cash in. Even better they are all rolled in wrappers marked "Birmingham Trust National Bank" which just happened to merge with SouthTrust in 1981. Haven't had a chance to break any open and look yet, but I'm really hoping that they are actually that old and she didn't just happen to have a bunch of 30 year old wrappers hanging around.
As a bonus the wifey also snagged 4 40% halves that a local store dropped in their night deposit.
Ok, I didn't want to be a tease, so I went ahead and cracked open two rolls to take a preview. 100% copper all from the 60's and 70's except for one single 57 wheat. Looks like it was a nice grap by my wife.
