went to my normal bank today (the one that gives me bags each week) They did not have enough cents to give any out to me. The supply company has not had any in last 2 weeks. Went to the other bank they could only give me $5 "for some reason we are very short of pennies" I wonder if I caused a shortage or if that NY thing did.
Selling Ryedale sorted USA cents 1.5 each + shipping over 500fv 1.5 each +1/2 shipping If you pick up 1.35 each located MT/ND boarder. after Ryedale sorting they are hand sorted to remove canadian then rechecked with Ryedale to insure all copper and count out $50 FV then placed in cloth bags and sealed with #1 copper wire.
I've been shorted by a couple of banks...luckily I am hitting up 6 banks a week so I have a surplus supply so no biggie, but one of banks said that Christmas was the cause. They said the Brinks trucks get really busy this time of the year.
It makes sense to me. I suspect things will go back to normal in January.
the vault lady told me that they had a xmass/santa and pushed for kids to open up savings accounts party today. And I should go in next week (when they open) because they took in over $200 in pennies today. I guess living across the street from vault teller has advantages..
