The teller at BoA that has been dealing with me (and my halves) since last September has been a delight to work with. She has always had my halves (except once) weekly and is generally pleasant to talk to and the like.
Last week she had showed me a silver roosevelt she had in her tray. I didn't want to overstep my bounds and outright ask for it/buy it, but this week I went back with the mentality I would offer her a dollar for it (or as close to an even dollar on any other silver pieces she had). Sadly the dime was gone but she whipped out a silver half (1964) and I went right ahead and said "could I give you 6 dollars for it?". She denied my six and said I could only get it with change so I HAD to pay 50 cents for it.
Now I want any of her loose silver pieces in the future but I want to show my gratification for the silver piece and for being such a nice teller. For about 5-6 dollars could I get some ideas for some gifts to get. I am mostly thinking foods would be perfect but am unsure! Any help?

| Chocolate or cookies are usually favorites with bank tellers. Get the good ones, dove, giridelli, godiva, etc. |

| I agree with the chocolate. She might get in trouble if she were seen selling coins for more than face value. |
Are you throwing that out? |

| Most tellers can't take more than face value unless they buy it themselves and sell it to you outside of the bank. What I have done instead of just candy and chocolate is bring them a gift card to starbucks or somewhere they like to go. |

| LOL Centavo, I agree go with a gift card or something generic that you know they will like, it's tough for only $5... but since you have been getting halves for so long... I would err on the side of generous... it feels good to give something away, and you could very well be the benefactor of more silver in the long run... |

a really nice set of dumbbells.. so she work up that arm strength for lifting your boxes of halves.
Actually, chocolate is always a good idea. I also sometime bake cookies and take them in. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

See if there is a sub place or a fastfood place nearby. Ask her where she might frequent and get her a gift card for it. Does she drink water or some other special drink? A six pack of soda or the like goes a long way also. A nice THANK YOU card gets lots of mileage also. A letter to the manager for her file is also a big hit, sincere praise regarding her pleasant demeanor and thoughtfulness can do wonders.

Arizona residents that need breath mints and underarm deodorant... and they have to toughen laws to keep people out of that state? Go figure |

I've found you don't need deodorant or a shower.
All you have to do is take a few big dollops of hand sanitizer and whup it up under you armpits.
It burns for a second, but talk about an efficient way of killing the stink.
If you swish it in you mouth it does a better job than Listerine.
You can buy half gallons of the stuff at you local dollar store. |
