Just wondering what everyone's getting for their metal. Steel just went down from 220/ton to 190/ton so I'm looking for good sources of the non-ferrous goodies. Any tips?
Copper: 2.35-2.85
Aluminum: .40-.70
Brass: 1.35-1.85

Welcome quanahparker....looking at your user name quanahparker is it because you are relations too, live in the area of North Texas or some other reason?

Just curious...I used to visit Vernon TX alot and know of the history.

edit: our scrap steel way down..115 $ /ton

Went today with some #1 Copper it was only 2.87/lb when it was 3.35/lb on Apr 17. I called on Monday Apr 26 and it was 3.23/lb, I knew it was coming down but didn't expect it to drop this quickly.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

I took in some steel yesterday, it was down to $8.5 per 100lbs, from $9.5 last Thursday.

Are you throwing that out?

I just got 2 quotes of $1.25 a pound for 150 lbs of copper wire. It is 414 feet of 1/0. Does this sound correct to you?

Is it bare or insulated? Insulated, it sounds a little low, but acceptable. If it is bare, that's WAY TOO LOW.

That is stripped, and clean. What should it be? I live an hour away from los angeles, so they don't have to truck it very far.

they said 80 something cents for insulated.
