CWR I know is customer wrapped rolls...but I have not gotten all the lingo down quite yet.

| It is a company, like brinks, that supplies coins. In my area all the coin boxes I get are from N.F. Strings company, in other areas people get boxes from Brinks, or some other coin dealer. |

Actually N.F. String & Son is a manufacturer of supplies for the coin suppliers. They are based in PA, so you see their products more in the eastern side of the country than out west because of the cost of shipping. They make good quality paper for automatic coin rolling machines and coin boxes.. as well as other things. Anyone with the right equipment can buy N.F. String & Son products and roll their own.  |

Hoard is a little right but this is what they actually are.
N.F strings is a coin wrapping company. They don't do any armored work and they don't work for the fed or anything like that.
They are hired by armored car companies like loomies, garda, dunbar, ect to wrap coin for them. In all string locations, except 2, they are located within an armored car facility. The only 2 places where they have their own place is Denver and Philly. They charge the armored companies 2 cents a wrap for the coin and than the armored car company charges a little more on top of that to the customers. Strings doesn't wrap everything so that is why you see brinks wraps and other company rolls. Their is a big misconception that Strings works for the fed, so that is why most people want strings rolls. Little do they know everyone else has the same exact coins.
They do make their own paper and their own boxes so in order to make a little more money they also sell their supplies to anyone who wants to buy them.
Hope this helps to clear up any confusion. |
