I know some people may be traveling around the country and I was wondering if any one might try to snag some coins from these areas? I am going to Northern Indiana for thanksgving and might try to get some stuff at the banks there if I have any time and/or if open. I can usually get some coins at these banks without accounts if they don't ask. I also try to look at the local dealers to get some silver and gold too.
Anybody doing anything similar?

I'll be doing the same. I haven't decided yet where I'll be traveling---when traveling domestically, I often wait till the day I leave to pick a destination---but I can't wait to check out some new banks. I'll be bringing plenty of cash to coin hunt, that's for sure. I don't know why, but I particularly enjoy coin hunting during Christmas. Actually, for Thanksgiving, I'll be seeing my parents, and though they don't live too far away, they do live near a cornucopia of banks! Can't wait.
Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday!

Holiday update. I saw my parents tonight, and they let me go through their change jar. One war nickel, 4 wheats, and lots of coppers. It felt good to hand sort once again.

I picked up 4 - $25 Brinks wrapped penny boxes on Wednesday for the holiday. Sorting with the family.

After Turkey Day, my parents and I went coin roll hunting together. I got skunked, but my dad found a '64 Kennedy, and my mom found a '64 Rosie. Good times.

Well for my Thanksgiving sorting was so-so. The town I visited only had one bank so I was light on the sorting. I bought $50 in halves and got 2 69's.
