I've opened three rolls of pennies out of a CWR box and so far only three zincs.

OK in four rolls I have found 15 zincs, none newer than 1987. Looks like someone had a change jar tucked away that they stopped feeding in 87 or 88. |

I just got back from the credit union and the teller told me there was an old guy who brought in a lot of old coins. She put them all in one bag. I put the bag on a scale and it weighs 34 lbs 4 ounces. I think I just got $50 presorted copper:) |

makes up for my first ever box from a bank..probably 10% with like 5 or 6 rolls all zinc and several more only 1-2 copper.
Hope it's not like this all the time or I ran into someones dump bank!
I know, I know..'if your percentages are low, keep sorting!' |

If some of those 87 zincers are BU they are certainly keepers. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

I stopped halfway through; still running about 75% copper. You gotta love CWRs. |

Umm Chuck? Is there something you aren't telling us? I'll bet you're really cute when you dress up
Uhhhh.... Ugh. Yikes.
So this was the church's coin can drive results, and I only got the tail end of it, face value $1,689. I've gone through the Quarters, Dimes, and Nickels so far.
$997 in quarters, skunked except for a cool Swiss coin dated 1956 that is the same size and shape as a quarter.
$320 in dimes, 5 silver Roosies cherrypicked.
$112 in nickels, 2 wartime nicks picked.
$260 in pennies, 1 wild Indian picked, 1906 with a hole at 12:00; and a 1935 wheatie...so far.
Among the cans was a six-pack coleman cooler full of pennies...the Cu% looked really high as I was going through it. Also some really interesting foreign coins in there.
I'll give another update as I start Ryedaling the pennies. |

"except for a cool Swiss coin dated 1956 that is the same size and shape as a quarter"
So either 20 Rappen cupro-nickel or 1 Franc silver. Inquiring minds want to know... |

Shoot, I don't have it with me...okay I just looked in the SCWC 1901-2000 book...it's definitely a 20 Rappen. It didn't have the luster of silver nor the ring, so I put it in my "other foreign" Tootsie Roll bank. *SKUNK* |
