i was sorting nickels today, and already found 2 copper-colored euro 5 cents, which in size are exactly like ours; even if it's completely copper, they won't be worth horading(comparatively) as their north american counterparts;
do they also have a 1 cent piece too? i will searc more for their compositions
is anyone hoarding pre-euro-union(currency-wise) coins?
any input will be appreciated, thanks

I have bigish (20-40 pieces each) sets of most pre-union europe country coins, but I'm holding them more for sentimental value than metal composition. the new euro cents are all worthless clad coins. That said, I do have 10 mint rolls each of dutch 2002 1, 2, and 5ct coins that I got for cheap as part of a swap once. Oneday I'll take them with me on a trip to amsterdam and spend them on munchies. |

My father was in the Merchant Marine and I have a large collection of coins and paper money from overseas. Not all that much silver, but a lot of nickel coins. Most of them are older than 1940. I got a lot of old Canadian coins from him too.

I have a jar with about five hundred Canadian copper cents in it. I get alot of them in rolls of pennies from my local banks.
