Something Brewing in Silver?

Following an up-week for silver and gold, Ted Butler in his weekly metals wrap interview with King World News, sees “a lot of room to run,” following a Commitment of Traders report that showed no increase in commercial short positions for silver and a decrease in gold.

And with more than 8 million ounces taken out of the SLV in recent weeks, as the price has been going up, Butler says that “Somebody’s taking this out because … the metal’s needed somewhere else and it does portend a potential wholesale shortage in silver. It’s very, very encouraging.”
Given all of the above, recent developments concerning the CFTC, a good technical set-up chartwise, and “blistering” sales of Silver Eagles, Butler concludes that “It does look like a perfect storm brewing in silver.”
