I know there are 1994-P doubled-ear errors, but searching through BU boxes of halves is NO fun. They all go to the dump bank soon!!

The huge uptick in demand is forcing suppliers to draw down reserves which I believe are held by the fed. Are these all comming from the same supplier? |

YES... All of them are coming from my local Brink's delivery service. I'm real sure they ran out of halves; since for a time they gave me String boxes (the non-Brink's long boxes with the holes in them) as they transitioned and went to the FED to get halves. These BU boxes I've been getting are a result of that. My hope is that after I wade through SOME (hopefully not too many more) BU boxes there will be some GREAT SILVER boxes underneath these BU boxes. Anyway, while halves have been unusually bad, I'm enjoying hand sorting for coppers again. I haven't done that in years and I find it fun. I bought an ACE hand sorting machine from Andy and it works great. |

| Yea, I love my Ace, been using it for about 6 months now. I still hand sort but use it on my 82's. Figure I will just get as much copper as I can and hopefully turn it into silver in the future. |

My first $500 box of Halves from the Bank and $1 in halves from a teller.
My dad did NOT search 13 rolls from the box (he saved those for me once I get back home when the weekend is over).
FOUND:
7 40% Kennedys (from box)
1 40% Kennedy (from the $1 in halves from teller)
1 90% Kennedy (from box)
1 90% Franklin (from box)
1 90% Walking Liberty 1941-S (from box)
Talk about beginners luck! I cant wait to crack open those 13 rolls myself when I get home. I think I'm officially hooked! |

went to several banks yesterday, about 16 total. $410 Brinks rolls between 3 banks, skunkers. $30 NF String rolls from one bank, skunkers. $14.50 loose in teller's tray from several banks, skunkers.
Total $454.50 searched with no silver, worst day in a while for me... |

My dad went to the bank today asking for Halves. Teller said she had 9 rolls.
ALL 180 coins were silver (I'm guessing some old lady returned her husbands stash)
