I have the chance purchase 1 pound of gold connectors. The seller claims they "high grade". What are they worth?
What about gold "fingers"? Are they the samething?

They're probably gold plated pins which are selling on ebay for $70 - $80 a pound. Personally I wouldn't pay that much because of the amount of work to refine them for what you end up with. I do collect my own and refine them myself. The fingers are different, they're the part of a computer card the plugs into the motherboard. There's a row of gold plated "fingers" on the edge. These are refined different than the pins.

High grade? What's that?
Here's some good advice for you.
If you want to learn about refining gold from electronics, a good start would be to spend some time over at You must be logged in to see this link. You can learn all you need to know right there.
Now to your question. The connectors can vary in value from $1.00 to $100.00 a pound depending on the amount of gold contained in such connector. There are 100's of different types so the question can't be answered without photos and assays.
Gold fingers. Go to e-bay and type it in, see for yourself.
A guy can make some pretty good money in the scrap electronics trade, but spend some time learning first before you spend your moneyWe've been scrapping computers for 15 years now so if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Everything is possible..Gold is present in computers, electronic devices, pins, fingers and so for...the problem here is that the content is very low...How low?...well it depends on date´s manufacturing, old items have more gold than newer items.
Anyway,500 gr. of those golden pins will yield to 2 or 3 gr of gold.Do you want to know about the process to recover the gold in pins?..let it be.. go to You must be logged in to see this link. Do you want to see the processes in video?,then go to a web page of Mr.Steven Sackett which is You must be logged in to see this link. Good trip.
Kindest regards.
