to get the record straight.is it not true according to coinflation that a pound of copper pennies is 146 therefore making a ton worth 2920.00? just curious

Only if they are BU.. Some of us have sizeable hoards of BU coppers, but most of our coppers have a little wear on them.. so it take a few more to make a ton.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
