If you've done the count....

How many unwraped pennies will fill the $25Box?

Suggestions on estimating by weight instead?

What's in it for the dude?

If you're talking Brink's boxes, you can unwrap all 50 rolls of pennies and put them right back in loose. You'll have to wiggle 'n' jiggle a little bit, but they do fit.

It should away approximately 17lbs, if they are all Cu.

It is a little tricky to get all $25 back in there without a lot of wiggling and jiggling. If you don't shake it much, you can get 2000-2200 in there. Weight of a full box would be right around $17 for a box of 2500 coppers, just like Bluegill says. A rolled box of copper weights 17.1 pounds.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

the brinks boxes are truly a design marvel. 2500 pennies fits horizontally, but not so well if layed flat.

Selling Copper cents. $0 FV available at 1.4xFV. Also interested in trading for wheat pennies and other coins Please pm me for requests or inquiries.

Hoard I am surprised you only put $17 worth....must be because of all the rolling you do....over supply of boxes you have....i have packaged Cu cents in the original boxes at 7750 grams/17.085 lbs/2500 cents..weigh the cents in the box...shake a bit then finish weighing in the cents...once weighed in then close the flap and secure...tap the sides on a solid surface to square up the box...easy to do and then the boxes are firm for stacking or shipping

fasteddy, I think HoardCopperByTheTon means he puts 17lbs not $17 in a box. You know he is old and is mind and hands don't work as well together as they once did.

You don't have to be the BEST you just have to be.......SLICK

I roll them and put $25 in each box. I like exact counts.
