Hi guys dolls.

I've been a lurker, watching all of you, and now, I got to know.

What do you think is going to be the tipping point when pennies are going to be the real thing?

Does anyone think with the earthquake in Chile will have an effect on the price of copper any time soon?
Will the 2011 budget and the changing of the minting of nickles and pennies be it?

It looks like two fronts are looking to collide making this the perfect storm for investing.

How long do we have before this market....takes off?

What's in it for the dude?

If I knew I would buy the day before. I just buy now and wait.

I can't speak for others, but while I feel that things in general are on a pretty slippery slope down towards 'not nice event', I just get copper rolls from the bank (handsorter) from time to to save copper as a 'hedge'.

If I had the money, I'd buy silver ... gold is just too high for me (but being retired on a fixed, modest income doesn;t allow me to get silver or gold)

Get and store what you can afford in copper pennies ... they're already worth well of two times face value in metal content .... whether its a little or a lot (like the 'big guys on here with those Rydales) ... just put it away for the future.

The earthquake didn't affect the mines. The Paper and Wine Industries took a major hit thought.

BUT, they might tap into their copper stockpiles to fund the reconstruction efforts.
