I had a jam up yesterday on my Ryedale that may be a sign of things to come if the Mint changes coin metal.
A Guatamalian coin (1¢ I think) got stuck with another coin inside the compairator mech. I did not have any tools with me small enough to get in that area.
The problem is the coin, not the machine. It is made out of aluminum and a bit on the thin side. (That roll had two of them, one got thru) It is so light in weight I think it just floated and the coin behind it just caught up and had a read end collision. If our coinage ever gets changed to aluminum Andy is going to have to add a "pre-separator" before the coin feeder. Maybe a shopvac hooked up to blow the aluminum coins out of the feed.

When working on the comparator, be careful not to bend any of the critical components. ON these bad jamms, push the sample coin holder to the right, and remove the sample coin then like Snappy suggested, use small screwdrivers, or a pocket knife, to get the culprit coin dislodged from the comparitor, It's sometimes easiest to remove the comparitor from the machine by removing the Molex plug (white) and tip it upside down etc. Be especially careful not to bend the rake too far back. If you have big troubles, just call me, we can work through it.
