my dh is starting training in a nearby city. he will be on his own for 9 hours since we only have one car. therefore with the gift card given to him by my parents i went and got him a new messenger bag that would go with his career training. it looks like a laptop bag...and most likely is but i am upcycling it for other uses. well today i went to my favorite dollar store and outfitted his bag with essentials for daily needs/emergencies. don't ask about defense since the building he is in has a metal detector. no guns or knives. THIS IS L. A. COUNTY. here is what i got him....
2 1L bottles of water travel size hand sanitizer which can be refilled at home. 1 80-count soft case wipes 1 dental hygiene travel kit 1 box (9 ct.) instant coffee with sugar and cream included 1 box (40 ct.) chamomile tea 1 notebook....because he may be required to take notes! 3 energy bars 1 cinnabon caramel bar...first time trying it! 6 ct. top ramen noodles; beef and shrimp flavors 1 soft pack instant bisquick mix!!! new item at store! 2 triple antibiotic ointment! .33 oz. 1 small tarp
because i took everything that was boxed out of its packaging and into 1 qt. ziplock bags the bag doesn't weigh so much.

of course all 40 teas are not there. neither are all 6 top ramens. however the coffee is. he has one ramen in his bag. he also has 10 teas in with his coffee as well.

This past Monday I had to use my food on my purse because of family obligations. I ate the single spam that was in my purse. From my car I grabbed my enveloped corn and applesauce cup to accompany it.
