Report on nickels searched:
$30.00 -- 15 CWRs
V nickel - none Buffalo - none War Nickel - none Proofs - none Canadian pre-1982 - none 2009 - none Other found - two -- 1/1989P US Dime, 1/1999P US Dime
Kept for nickel album - two -- 1/1948, 1/1949 - both of these filled empty spots in my album
Other stats: Two rolls were over five cents each roll, Two rolls were shorted five cents each roll, One roll was shorted ten cents (It contained the two dimes so for my purposes it was over by ten cents but I think the way Country keeps the stats it would be considered short ten cents since coins of the wrong denomination were in that roll so that is how I am going to list that stat here.)
Overage/shortage total: Shorted ten cents
Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. |

Hello All!
This is my first post and this is my first month sorting Half Dollars, started hand sorting coppers last month after I found this wonderful site. I had to join in on the Silver hunt as well. I enjoy reading all the posts and learning from all of you.
Without any further delay here are my March 2010 stats:
Snagged (1) 1967 Kennedy from a teller's tray on March 9th (my first 40% coin!) This was from a bank that will not order any coins for me. (pennies or halves)
My two source banks have different suppliers.
Box 1 (Bank A)- Skunked
Box 2 (Bank B)- Skunked
Box 3 (Bank B)- (1) 1966 Kennedy (40%) & (1) 2001-P (NIFC)
Box 4 (Bank B)- (1) 1964-D Kennedy (90%, my first), (1) 1967 Kennedy (40%), (2) 1968-D Kennedys
Box 5 (Bank B)- (1) 1966 Kennedy (40%) & (2) 1968-D Kennedys (40%)
Box 6 (Bank A)- Skunked
Box 7 (Bank A)- Skunked
Box 8 (Bank A)- (1) 2001-P (NIFC)
Box 9 (Bank A)- (1) 1973-S (Proof, some weird adhesive on it)
Box 10 (Bank B)- (1) 1954-D Franklin (90%, my first Franklin!), (1) 1964-D Kennedy (90%), (1) 1965 Kennedy (40%), (1) 1968 Kennedy (40%), and a Texas State Quarter in with one of the rolls... not shorted a Half, just an extra quarter. :) +$0.25
Box 11 (Bank B)- (1) 1966 Kennedy (40%), (1) 1967 Kennedy (40%), (2) 1968-D Kennedys (40%)
I am very lucky due to the fact my wife not only supports my Copper/Silver searching... SHE helps!!! I am hoping April is kind to all of us sorters.
Thanks Country for all of your hard work!!!
Have to go for now to go dump 1k. Kinda bummed my other boxes for this week have not arrived yet. Oh well, more to sort this weekend.

1994P machine doubles will be found if you search.
I have one triple but looking for a four leaf clover. I know there is one out there. If you find one machine double, you will find more as they travel in packs.
They sell for up to $20 each on ebay.
(sold as double dies, which they are not)
Look for two ears, two faces or both.
Never know....

I thought it was weird that the 2010 Red Book had it listed as a NIFC with a mintage of 21,200,000. Must have been a typo. I am searching in <K*S>. |

Kansas it is.
Perhaps the 2001-P's are listed correctly, but there are so many of them.... Most of us just don't bother accumulating these unless completing a Kennedy set. |
