I got this real nice Morgan last night for $18. You can right-click on the images to see a full-screen of the coin.

Very nice Morgan! Those are such beautiful coins, second only to Barber Quarters and Halves (in my opinion.)

That is the actual size of the coin.

If I had 10 monitors I might be able to see it all at one time.

Do they make a 60 inch computer monitor?

Ja, Ja, its huge. I wish it was the actual size, that would be a cartwheel for sure. Probably would weigh in at 30 pounds 90%Ag, and be 6" thick.

You can see it all at one time, just right-click the mouse on the photo and select the correct choice.

But at the full detail, notice how the green verdigris is just beginning in a few tiny niches at the dimpled ridge edge and in the hollows of a few letters. You can see tiny attached cloth fibers. This level of detail is simply amazing.

This 127 year old coin is in absolutely remarkable condition.

The first scan I did was at 4800 dots per inch and 120 megabytes. When cropped to just the coin, the image was over 30 megabytes. It took 30 minutes to complete that scan. This 11 megabyte image is still pretty darn awesome.

Its truly a beautiful coin. I'm glad I posted it.
