That is sad. I occasionally get those bad rolls, but not at a constant rate. |

A couple days ago I went to a random bank I have never been too and asked for CWR. The lady said yes- but held some back because she said they have already been searched through. The teller next to her gave me some CWR as well that all had X's and squiggly marks on them.
They all had copper but no wheats- first time this has happened. So people sort in different ways. |

Hope your future rolls are better than that. At my most recent pickup at BOA there was a guy in front of me asking for two boxes. The teller later told me he'd been all over town to pick up a few at each branch. Competition is cropping up. I don't mind searching boxes for lower percentages, but getting skunked is gonna be disheartening. |
Hoard now and hold on!

That really bites! Was there anything good at all like a counterstamp or error?
I got a repackaged $25 box from the bank one time that was all zincs, no wheats, no copper, no Canadians, Nuthin'

It just goes to show you that it is a treasure hunt. Sometimes without finding a treasure. |

I'm sure it has happened to most of us at a one time, but it sure sucks when it does. |

I had $50 that I sorted this weekend. CU % wasn't bad, but not one single wheat. |

I keep my copper as a habit and good practice but I would be lying if I said that’s why I started/continue sorting cents. It is the cheapest form of entertainment out there and I “might just find something”. |

I haven't sorted copper in about a month. Though this Friday i'm picking up about $1.5k in penny boxes. I hope to find some coppers wheats, etc.
Just because you have a bad go this time around. Don't let it phase you, this isn't like the silver skunks going around right now. Copper is still in circulation big time.

I got my first two boxes of CWR's last week. Sampled each and found only Cu 1982's, so they had clearly been searched. That wasn't worth dumping the rolls and running through the Ryedale, so I just replaced the Cu from the sample rolls w/ zincers and rerolled and re-boxed to sell to a bank. (I found one bank that wants rolled coin - all the others apparently have counters.) -js |

Actually this has never happened to me yet. I think the lowest percentage was somewhere around 20% This includes finding a box of BU 2008's. So i don't really know if a brand new box of coins counts towards a skunk. |
