I cant beat hord's great find but, I did get two interesting rolls (out of several) from my "other" branch of M & T today while waiting for my boxes from the main branch. I also was dropping them into my ACE and was thinking the thing must be out of level when I started to pull them from the CU pile and redropped thinking they were Zn. From these two rolls I found in AU+ condition, bright red shiny:

(1) 1960; (1) 1962; (1) 1962D; (1) 1963; (1) 1963D; (1) 1964; (1) 1972; (1) 1972D; (1) 1973; (1) 1979.

I don't think they were dipped (not sure I could tell) but under the lens many were Full Steps with minimal wear and only an occasional ding. The odds of me finding these coins with only one each of the above years in fragmented order in this condition from random has to be astronomical.

Is it possible someone had a collection and I got fragments of it in my rolls? I only wish they were a few years earlier.

This is why I love sorting, you never know what you are going to find!

I once came across a few rolls that a person sorted by year. One entire roll was 1969 D etc. Makes for easy sorting for us hand sorting people.

your 'collection' theory is VERY likely!! If they got dumped into a mixed batch then the others got rolled in other rolls that you didn't get.

Sorted $140 last night and the last box had twelve BU (probably MS64-65) 1959's! I wonder if this was part of Hoard's horde?

Hoard now and hold on!
