If anyone is kind enough to respond to this thread, please predetermine what district you are in, and only report your copper percentage, so there isn't so much data to sift through. The higher the number of respondents, the greater accuracy of any resultant guesstimate. If you are West Coast there are branch banks in Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake, and Los Angeles (in addition to San Francisco). Seattle services Alaska. The others would be whichever you live nearest to. If you aren't sure which district you're in, check out the map:

Is the black square in Cali HoardCopperByTheTon's hoard? Would he be a sub-district?

I believe those black squares are the locations of federal reserve banks for each region...but Hoard could very well be managing that one himself.

About 26-28% in Dist. 4 over the last month.

A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.''

Hmmm ... could the lower percentages in the southern states be due to smuggling?

The reserves in the Bay Area always drop dangerously low on the days Hoard does his pick-ups. Last month an emergency arose when the San Francisco branch ran out of pennies. They tried calling Hoard for two days, but he was out in the penny processing center and couldn't hear the phone. They finally had to transship out of Los Angeles

Hoard now and hold on!

nope... that's pretty much standard for the Arizona region. 15% you can count on, 17% if you get lucky once in awhile cwgii and Thogey have drained the coppers in that area

I average between 35% to 45% a box, but i'm in neither of the US Fed Reserve districts.

I suppose with the end of the Canadian copper penny in 1996, percentages will be much higher in Canada. I'm in Toronto, if it matters to any Canadian penny hoarders.

I mostly lurk, but this seemed important enough to respond to.

District 4.

My last pickup yielded 27%. Over the last year, the % has been in the low 20s.

99% brinks boxes. I only rarely sort CWRs.

Life is more than getting from point A to point B.

I got around 15-18% in district 6. South Florida area. This was out of a brinks box that I picked up at a local Wachovia. I envy those with higher percentages
