This is just a first attempt, so bear with me.
Find any dimes inside rolls, boxes, and bags of pennies since February 1, 2010? Please take the time to post it all here. I will be making a list of everybody's finds and noting the largest find of dimes. I understand some of you have found all dimes in what are supposed to be penny rolls, so please tell me about that too. Pictures are extra credit, but welcomed. This is only for dimes found in penny rolls and bags, not in nickels, quarters, or halves. Foreign dimes will also be counted, but noted as such. Other coins or objects do not count. Once you guys begin posting, I'll start the list. Thank you for participating.

In today's box of pennies, I found two dimes. I found one earlier this month too.

Not this month, in January I found 8 dimes in one box including 4 of those from 1 roll.

Impressive. Let me know if you find anything later this month. Best wishes to you in Alaska!

I found an old dollar bill at the edge of the office parking lot. Then I found a dime on the ground at the gas station.

You are asking for a lot of work to track something so common. I get dimes all the time - don't track them either. Just roll them up and deposit.

Some of the RealCenters on here don't search as much as you do, jadedragon, so dimes might come as much as pre-1940 Wheat Pennies to them. I can see you are developing a rivalry with me. If you don't want to report your dimes, then fine. Someone else might be nice enough to post their finds here. Maybe uthminista will or somebody like him.

Dimes found on the floor don't count. They've got to be in rolls, boxes, and bags of pennies.
Just found a dime in a CWR of pennies that has some orange grime on it. Guess the person who rolled it mistook it for a penny.
Gee, I hate to be the only one posting my dime finds. Oh well.

I will be more than happy to post results for you for this topic; however, if I haven't found any, I can't report any. None found yet for February forward. But, looking back through my notes I see I only found one in all of January. Yes, I know this doesn't count but just stating it to make a point that they have become somewhat scarce for me of late.

I would really enjoy finding some more dimes, to make up for the shortages.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone.

That's fine, PTP. You may report whenever you find one this month. Perhaps I should have said from Jan.1 instead of Feb.1.

There is no rivalry Kirkland - but I am really tiring of receiving complaints about your posts that either add nothing or stir up trouble.

Read more - post less. You might actually learn something instead of annoying other members.

Who exactly is complaining? I'm sorry if it is all irritating to you, but I have posted a lot of meaningful posts recently and scaled back from 40 posts a day to 25 posts a day. I will continue to scale back this month. I hope you don't seriously think I'm trying to annoy people. I'm not.

You can see some people openly complaining and I can tell you others are complaining in private. The prolific posting has become a joke here.

I'm locking this thread as it is going the wrong direction completely.
