I just noticed Silver down $1.04 and Gold down $50.90
I know someone can explain why such a big dip today.
While ya'll are explaining, I am gonna see what I can buy.

| I said that I was going to buy under 16 per ounce but with that big of a drop I'm going to wait and see how much more of a down side we have before I buy. |

Just my humble opinion, but like I said on the second dip coming thread I believe that we are heading quickly into phase #2 of this recession/depression. I don't think it is manipulation this time despite $15.30 silver since the DOW is down 246 points today and it now stands at 10024. Just like before the stock markets are crashing around the world and taking our precious metals down for the ride too. But I feel that PMs will rebound as still more money is pumped into the economy.
But in in the meantime this presents a buying opportunity if you can still come up with the cash and if you are still working. |

The Central Bank of Greece only holds 112 tons of gold. The market can swallow that without much of a ripple. What happened to today was stop-losses getting triggered, may or may not have been induced by short-selling, or just panic.  I took the opportunity to buy a roll of 2010 eagles from APMEX. Dakota, you crack me up. You've been saying since $19 you were going to buy at $16 and now you change your mind.  |

I have 60 2010 Ase coming to split with one other person but for my own needs I see the market now looking for more of a down turn and I bettng that with the new information the market still has room to go down. After all we all were looking at 20 dollar silver at the end of last year. No one thought that silver go down this far. Will wait to see who will sale there silver now at 15plus. |

You haven't lost until you've sold.
For example when the dow hit 8000 I sold 40,000 for a loss of about 30,000.
Then because I'm such a smart investor I bought back in about 3 weeks ago, when the dow was 10400.
Now that's how you loose money! No big deal just my retirement and our only hope of not living under a bridge in our old age.
By the way I've already got my bridge picked out. |

| If things pan out like everyone was discussing for years, it's going to much more volatile. Just be ready to unload silver at $25-$50 imo, and get ready to rebuy on dips. |

But at $19, $16 silver looked like a deal. At $15.31 it starts to look like it is in quicksand.  I bet it will have more buyers at $17 again than it does now. |

That's the psychology of the silver market. I'm willing to bet at $25 few would want to sell, yet at $15.00 few want to buy. |

| BTW, I was at the Long Beach Coin Show this morning. Everyone knew about the drop in silver prices but some people were buying up half dollars for $6.25 each(some were AU). I'll probably attend Saturday also, hopefully there might be a buying opportunity. |

| Rumor has it the JP Morgan has a bunch of shorts that expire at the end of this month. This means they have to drop the price down to cover their butts! I expect the price to drop down a little further and than climb up a hair in like 2 weeks...all to try to act like its just the normal markets and not manpulation! |

| P.S This thread needs to be retitled! This is not a dip...its a plummet! I have only seen silver move this far this fast 1 time before...and that was the day the silver ETF started....and the move was in the other direction! (except not as big) |

| It's actually all my fault. I got in under the wire last night on Nate's silver order. I told him at the time I put the order in that silver would definately drop like a rock if I bought more silver.. lol. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
