Found a 1954 10 Escudo coin (about .11 oz ASW) in the junk bin today, along with a bunch of other Portuguese colonial coins from the 70s.

My friend found a Dutch East Indies 1/4 Guilder silver coin as well.

Edit: changed 1953 to 1954

You know what? I have a junk bin coin cost about .17 I've been meaning to post about it.

I think it's a 1763-64 1/12 thaler. The date is worn.

does any one have any info on such a coin?

No,but similar, the shield is different and I think the date was on the upper left reverse.

Hmmm... 18th century German coins take up like half of the big 18th century book... but a twelfth thaler should be something "we" can narrow down. But it's similar enough to know that it's a German states coin, right???

Yes definately a Prussian coin ,very similar to what you are showing. 12 ENIEN THALER
