Well, looking for silver in nickel boxes hasn't been too good for me, however.....

2- Boxes Nickels
Skunk on both (about five or more skunks in a row for silver.
Also no Bufs
1-1984P with a brilliant golden rainbow hued tone. Magnificent!
1-1968S proof
1-1939D in great shape. Worth 10 bucks or more and I have been finding 1-2/month
1-Belgie Franc 1980
1-1891 V Nik worth about 7 bucks
1-1907 V Nik
1-1912 V Nik

I have found maybe 5 V Niks so far this year (for sure, without checking)

I also got a discolored and apparently counterfeit Ellis Island 1906 dollar coin from the coin counter. Real Ellis Island Silver Dollars are dated 1986

The counter produced a huge pile of coins again today. I think I should stop searching rolls and just drive to the local dozen machines everyday to mine them.

5-Boxes halves all skunk
No NIFC's

Former cleaner missed two proofs that were in 1 box.
1-1977S
1-1980S

That's five boxes nickels and five halves in a row skunk.

Just means my turn is coming!

Still find lots of other interesting stuff.

Got a sixth box of skunk halves to go. (...to high heaven)

Major blizzard going right now in DE.

Watching traffic cams at 2:20 AM

Look them up at DelDot, as good or better than any other state I have found.

Gonna miss my half deliveries tomorrow. Got some nickels and pennies to play with.

Ryedale is hungry.

Report on last few days' finds:
$120 in CWR rolls of halves. No silver. There is a customer at this bank who obviously looks for silver too, and dumped the skunks where I buy. Rats! I thought I owned all of Austin!
I also searched several loose halves at other banks, and also no silver.

Report on dimes searched:

$125.00 -- 25 CWRs

Silver dimes found - none
2009 dimes found - none
Other found - none

Other stats: One roll over by 10 cents

Overage/shortage total: Over ten cents

Personal observation: I am seeing an exceedingly large amount of 1965, 1966, and 1967 US dimes. I wonder if someone had saved these long ago thinking they were like the 40% halves or like the Canadian coins that were still silver during those years and are now finding out they aren't and have released them back into circulation.

PTP, I think those years had very high mintages due to the anticipation of silver coins being pulled from circulation. Those years combined had over 5.2 billion coins minted.

Thanks for info. Yes, I knew those were high mintage years, but it just seems like I am being overrun with those years here of late. With more than forty years having passed since that time, it just seems strange that I am getting around 15 - 20% of the roll in just those three years. And, this is happening in many of the rolls I am now searching. Or, at least in the past several batches of dimes it has been that way. When I get my next batch to search it could be more spread out again.

Just thought it seemed a bit odd. Anyone else that date sorts noticing the same thing?

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone.

Did you get a $500 box when you got these?

These halves were rolled by the bank and not in a box but in the $100. trays. These halves came from the lobby coin counter.
