Some of the "I"s look like a capital I but have a dot over it like a lower case in our alphabet but are the height of other letters. Some of the other letters have added symbols above or below them.
The above information would be on what I would call the front of the note along with a picture of a man. The reverse has a building on it plus some smaller people. A little more writing too on reverse.
Is this still a circulating note? Any idea of the value in US money???
LOL...from my mother-in-law who got it from her sister-in-law many years ago from travels abroad. When she had to move into an assisted living facility this summer she gave me this one bank note and a small handful of some foreign coins she had acquired over the years. She thought I would enjoy having them with my newly acquired interest in coins.
Yep, Turkish hyperinflation note. Pretty common but a good reminder of why people like PMs and copper.
