Poll Question:
Have you got a dollar amount goal, written down, of the amount of copper cents you'd like to have in your hoard? Do you have monthly amounts you want to sort? Weekly? Have you achieved your goal, and now are just sorting for the fun of collecting? All comments welcome.

Good question. I keep my goals in my head and accomplish them most of the time. It'll be interesting to see what the others have to say. |

Just interested in your responses. Research shows that only three percent of people write down their goals, but those three percent are more successful than the other ninety-seven percent combined in accomplishing those goals. Just as an experiment, pull out a slip of paper, and write down ten things you'd like to see happen in your life. Then put it away for a year. A year from now, you'll be amazed at how many of these items you've completed. For some reason, once you've written down a goal, your brain will go to work on ways to accomplish it. You will be surprized at your own creativity when it comes to generating ideas that will help you reach your targets. Try it. |

I don't set goals for copper, but I set goals for other things. I don't write them down I just have them in my head. Its amazing how something so simple motivates a person to take that extra step. I try to set my goals just a little higher than what I think I will be able to reach. If I reach them than fantastic, but if I get close than thats good too. |

My goal is to join the "1 Ton Club." I should hand-sort my way there in about a year, been at it now for about 6 months and have ~600 pounds. |

Beauanderos...yes, I set some goals for my coin searches for 2010. Please see the topic I began in the Member's Only Section. They are very modest, especially for most of you, but since I hand sort I feel they are close to what I can achieve. If I can do better, then I will be ecstatic.
Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. |

i have a big jar full of dimes and quarters and nickels. all im doing is converting that to copper cents. i figure the copper cents will be worth more then the debased sandwich quarters and dimes. |
