So I'm doing some banking today and I see this single roll of half dollars on the ledge next to the tellers tray. I buy it and get these!
5- 40% silver
1- 90% 1964
10- bicententials
4- 1971's
I don't sort pennies much these days but I think I'll be asking for a roll of half dollars every time I go to the bank, that's for sure. Is it common to get scores like this?

| I went to the bank today and asked if they had any half dollars. They had 3 rolls. I got a 1968 40% and the rest were all clad. I wish these bicentenials were worth something. Seems like everyone used to save them and I have close to $20 worth so far. They will be going back to the bank. I'll mark the rolls with a black X in case anyone else is doing this in Western NY state. Inner city banks guys. That's where the silver and wheats are to be found! |
